2026 Another Audience Artist
Daria Faïn is an interdisciplinary artist of multiple origins around the Mediterranean. Her work fuses her European cultural background with over three decades of practice in Asian philosophies of thebodymind, American dance training, and theater. I envision a project as a collective reflection on the mythical figure of Kassandra. It is a proposition not to point at her but to embody her and the listener(s) both at once, within ourselves as individuals and as a collective, and in the warp of nonlinear times and cultures in the immediacy of language beyond intellectual comprehension. Here, I see language as a means to enter the schism of the mind between intuition and conscious address in the immediacy of its expression through sounds, breath, phonemes, words, actions, gestures, silence, and so on.
The ultimate vision for the project is to take people on a 28-hour elemental journey in nature. At Black Hole Hollow, I’ll experiment with various elements and collaborators for the project to develop.
