loom scores

This summer at black hole hollow, lily’s focus will be on building a weight-bearing loom. using rope, song, and the interior structure of the barn that lives on this land, we’ll make a floor-to-rafter warp, listening to what emerges when our bodies become shuttle and weft. through weaving a material place of rest from the generative cycle of a body that is chronically ill, lily explores the pressing question: how to be sick and make work? – not for colonial or capitalist gain, but to connect with the living and more than. we will turn to the surrounding forest and sky for wisdom, noticing all the ways we are held by resilience in our resistance to just keep going.

Loom Scores is a multi-day durational performance.
